| RESEARCH ACTIVITIES: Scientific research areas of Laboratory for Biochemical Eng., Industrial Microbiology and Malting & Brewing Technology: - microorganisms cultivation, separation and purification of broth components from microbial biomass (beta - glucan from yeast and algae E. gracilis ; 5’ - ribonucleotides from yeast) - development of horizontal rotating tubular bioreactor (HRTB) and its application for different bioprocesses (e.g. simultaneous nitrification and denitrification and removal of heavy metals) - development of integrated bioprocess models and scale-up procedure of HRTB - development of hybrid integrated bioprocesses and sustainability of organic solvents production - development and application of integrated bioprocesses in production of lactic acid INTERNATIONAL EXPERTISE IN RTD: - Members of our Laboratory (dr. sc.
