RESEARCH ACTIVITIES:
Currently I have a Junior Scientist position in the Model Membranes Group at the Institute of Biophysics and Nanosystems Research (IBN), Austrian Academy of Sciences, Graz (Austria). The research group is leaded by IBN director Prof. Peter Laggner.
During my previous research studies, I have gained experience in the characterization of nanostructured fluids, which have excellent potential for forming drug- and food- delivery systems. They are considered as excellent media for the solubilization of various food, cosmetic, and pharmaceutical additives. In addition, during my PhD I obtained good knowledge on the formulation of microemulsions for food and pharmaceutical applications and their characterization by various methods.

I have good experience in the characterization of confined self-assembled nanostructures (inverted type mesophases of cubic, or hexagonal geometry, and reverse microemulsions) of kinetically stabilized lipid-based emulsified droplets.

Recently, our research group established a very fruitful cooperation with Shuguang Zhang from the MIT. Here the investigations are aiming to check the impact of short designer peptides on nanostructured lipid/water systems.
